Last week, after the bell-choir’s rehearsal at the Anglican Church in Reini village (on the outskirts of Nazareth), we sat for some refreshments and fellowship.  One of the youth, who helps in Sunday School now, reminded me of the day he met me!  He was then a little boy, attending a Good News Club at one neighborhood in Nazareth.  He says that I asked all the children if they knew whether they were going to Heaven or not, and he expressed his doubt.  He was amazed that I remembered him saying that he wasn’t sure and after Club I asked to speak to him.  Explaining the Gospel message to him using the wordless book, it was then for the first time he knew and understood the way to Heaven!  Praise the Lord for this hidden testimony that came to light now and is bearing fruit through different ministries this young man is actively involved in…  Pray for him, his name is Amer!

 

IN TIME OF TROUBLE SAY:          

First: He brought me here – it is by His will I am in this place; in that will I rest.

Next: He will keep me in His love, and give me grace in this trial to behave as His child. 

A prayerless ministry is the undertaker for all God's truth and for God's Church.  He may have the most costly casket and the most beautiful flowers, but it is a funeral.  A prayerless Christian will never learn God's truth.  A prayerless ministry will never be able to teach God's truth.  Ages of millennial glory have been lost by a prayerless Church.  The coming of our Lord has been postponed indefinitely by a prayerless Church.  Hell has enlarged herself and filled her dire caves in the presence of the dead service of a prayerless Church.

This is the message I received on my birthday (15.7.2010) from my teenage daughter Petra, which made not only my day, but my whole year:  "If I could choose the perfect dad there's no one I would rather have than you dad cause you go further, father...  Happy Birthday Father!  Daddy I'm just little but I love you big!"  She was serving as a camp counselor in the West Bank while I was helping in another camp in Jerusalem.  What a better thing to be doing on your birthday and what a better gift to recieve from your daughter!
